Since a few friends have been asking me what plants they should get as their first, I figured it is much easier for me to put out a video recommending 16 easy-to-care for beginner houseplants that look stunning in most home/apartment environments. These plants, when cared for correctly, should help any newbie plant parent gain confidence and experience towards getting more challenging and diverse plants. Here are some criterias/factors I was considering (1) One species from every major plant family (2) Indoors medium to bright indirect light (3) Forgiving plants that can tolerate watering mistakes (4) Beautifies a living space (5) affordable
