Want to use your speaker cabinets with more than one amp? This video shows how to install a jack plate and 1/4-inch jack for an easy and versatile connection!
It's an easy project - the hardest part (as you'll see) is drilling the hole for the jack plate ( I call it a cup in the video) with a spade bit. Then I wire the jack with some of the best speaker cable available, recycled vintage two-conductor power cord! I also show how to solder the connections for excellent contact and durability.
Then I put it all together and test it with a Fender-inspired tube amplifier chassis I built from old parts. Poor but happy guitar play ensues!

2:44 - Assembling, wiring, and soldering the jack
9:40 - Mounting the jack plate on the panel
11:43 - Attaching speaker and replacing panel

⚠️Quick note: Old power cord with crumbling insulation is no good, throw it away! There are plenty out there that are still flexible.
