Wiring in a new wireless heating control can be a bit of a nightmare. In this video I will show you how I go about installing a new wireless programmable room thermostat or just a wireless thermostat into a heating system which has a hot water cylinder, 3 port motorised valve, hot water thermostat, pump and boiler. Replacing the room thermostat, if it has one with the new wireless control.
I am installing the new Honeywell T3R or T4R and I will also cover the "Drayton" and "Hive" wireless receivers and how other wireless programmers are very similar.
I go though the installation with detailed step by step instructions.

Hive. This hive unit only has one channel which means it will only turn your heating on and off. Not your hot water, even though it says hot water.
You need the two channel to control you hot water also. This video did not cover that.
I know this is very confusing, even I have to try and work out which unit does what.
