Installing a 1930's Aermotor windmill fresh off of a farm in Elwood, Nebraska (I apologize I kept calling it Elswood) where it has been standing since the 30's! Paul form "Paul's Windmill and Crane Service" in Illinois acquired this, went through the head and tower completely refurbishing it to exact standards as new.
After reconditioning, he brought it down with his service truck and trailer and over the next 9 hours we built it and stood her back up and got her pumping again. I wanted all the age, character and patina where it looked like it had been on my farm its whole life instead of Elwood, Nebraska. The bright shiny metal and fresh paint just wasn't the look I was after.
We look forward to decades of enjoyment and hopefully it becomes a navigational landmark in the town when folks are giving directions on how to get someplace!
