Gluten-Free Hamburger Buns
500 g Gluten-Free Flour, Caputo Fioreglut: https://amzn.to/3NIcQBU
5 g Active Dry Yeast
10 g Salt
13 g Extra Virgin Olive Oil
400 g Warm Water, 90-105F
2 tsp Sesame Seeds
Extra Oil and Flour as needed
1) Combine flour and yeast in a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the warm water, coat a spatula with olive oil, and mix the dough (it will be very sticky!). Add salt and olive oil and mix once again (scaping down the sides of the bowl as necessary). Knead until combined well.
2) Place in the Instant Pot and set to yogurt setting for 30 minutes. Cover with a lid or plate. Alternatively, set in a warm place in your kitchen for 1-3 hours.
3) Next, turn dough out onto counter and knead for 2-3 minutes. Then, separate into 8 equal pieces. Shape into hamburger buns about the size you want them to be when cooked (they will not grow much). Cover with a towel and let rest for 20-25 minutes.
4) Meanwhile, preheat oven to 425F and set a cast iron pizza pan or skillet inside.
5) Once the oven is to temperature and the hamburger buns have rested, carefully remove the skillet. Add hamburger buns to the skillet. Brush each with a little warm water and then sprinkle on sesame seeds. Bake for 10-18 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then slice and enjoy!
