On Monday, December 16th, The Frida Cinema hosted a 25th-anniversary screening of the documentary "Instrument", which follows the band Fugazi over a period of ten years. Preceding the screening, a virtual Q&A session was held with Fugazi's Ian MacKaye, where fans were able to gain insight from the legendary post-hardcore punk band's frontman!

Film Description: Instrument, a film by director Jem Cohen and Fugazi. A visual record of music making shot over ten years; concerts, interviews, tours, practice, portraits, landscapes, studio, super8, 16mm and video (1987-1997)
The film takes it’s title from a song from the band’s 1993 album In on the Kill Taker. Shot on super8, 16mm and video the film is composed mainly of footage of concerts, interviews with the band members, practices, tours and time spent in the studio recording their 1995 album Red Medicine. The film also includes portraits of fans as well as interviews at various Fugazi shows around the United States throughout the years.
