This LED kit was a cheap set off eBay (see link below), which uses bluetooth to control the module and is powered by USB. I didn't want to use the USB port because it would be right in the way of the phone charger and a bit of an eye sore.
If you are happy to use the USB, all you will have to do is run the wires between the carpets and trim. Easy as (skip to scene "Route LEDs"). If you do want to hard wire it to a fuse attached to your accessories (so lights only come on when the car is on and turns off about 5 minutes after the car is turned off), then all you will have to do is cut the USB plug and solder a new ground wire and attach the power wire to a fuse tap.
I use a mini fuse tap. There is a bunch of mini fuses which are all connected to the accessories, so it's an easy find. And best of all, no need to use up a USB plug/port.
