Polytunnel Bell pepper cultivation in Sri Lanka ආරක්ෂිත ගෘහයේ බෙල් පෙපර් වගාව - Mr. Chaminda is a successful Bell pepper cultivation entrepreneur in Sri Lanka. He lives in Morawaka pareyideniya village. He is a Mason and a few years ago, he has started Poltunnel Bell pepper cultivation in his home garden as a demonstration. Now he is cultivating Bell paper and Salad cucumber as polytunnel cultivation in Sri Lanka. Mr. Chaminda started 800 square feet and now he has 6000 square feet of polytunnels. Chaminda has knowledge about polytunnel making and he told polytunnel cost around 3.5 lakhs rupees for 800 square feet. Mr. Chaminda joined with the Department of Agriculture Sri Lanka GAP program and they provide agriculture extension facilities and other subsidies to start this agribusiness. He sells bell pepper yield for the export market and earns good profit through Bell pepper. Now he is in a good economic level and his wife always supports him. He uses new technology for this protected house.
