Shoji Hirakawa
Born in 1971 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Graduated from Nagoya University of Arts, majoring in percussion.
After short-term study at the Musician’s Institute PIT and working as a drum instructor for Yamaha, I moved to Tokyo.
From 2003 to 2007, performed in shows at Tokyo Disneyland Sea.
Around 2008, began participating in the Tropical Jazz Orchestra and currently serves as a regular drummer.
Endorsed by YAMAHA Drums and Zildjian Cymbals.
Part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts (since 2019) and Showa Music University (since 2022).
