In the metabolism process, cells generate various waste products through chemical reactions. Such waste, as it is toxic, needs to be excreted to maintain the integrity of the interstitial environment. The excretion of these unwanted products is largely carried out by the kidneys.
This video is an introduction to renal physiology.
Class content:
- Functions of the kidney
- Macroscopic anatomy of the kidneys of domestic animals;
- microscopic anatomy: general structure of the nephron (renal corpuscle, proximal and distal convoluted tubule, loop of Henle and collecting duct).
-Glomerular filtration barrier
-Juxaglomerular device
