This video is a real time demonstration of a full iPhone 12 Pro A14 CPU Swap for Data Recovery. It is meant to display my techniques for cpu transfers as well as show how long these procedures can take, from start to finish. This is not a how-to tutorial. Especially in the case of data recovery, it is my opinion that CPU swaps should never be the first step and if possible you should have a measurable reading that indicates why a CPU swap is nessary. You should have a strong diagnostic ability as well as strong hand soldering skills before you work on cpu. That only comes with thousands of hours of experience.

Chapters:
00:00 Start
00:00:08 Step 1: Remove NAND
00:01:36 Step 2: Remove CPU
00:02:21 Clean & Prepare CPU
00:12:19 Clean NAND
00:16:34 Reball NAND
00:21:46 Reball CPU
00:27:22 Prepare Donor Board
00:35:34 Remove Donor CPU
00:37:03 Remove Donor NAND
00:52:49 Donor CPU Pads Cleanup
01:15:14 Remove Donor EEPROM
01:16:27 Transfer Job EEPROM
01:19:34 Is PMIC Okay?
01:20:33 Looks Like it’s short...
01:25:30 No Longer Short
01:34:37 I’m out and have to harvest a donor
01:34:44 I pulled and reballed it
01:39:43 That Looks Normal
01:39:54 Place NAND
01:47:01 Placing CPU
01:47:23 Start with low temp and air (180-200c, 30 air)
01:47:42 This increases surface tension
01:48:30 Lets turn up the heat a bit (240-280c)
01:49:27 Another bump up...
01:49:52 Now Flux shouldn’t move the CPU at all
01:50:44 Time full full heat and air (340-360c, 60-75 air)
01:53:17 Amp draw indicates a normal boot sequence!
01:53:24 Data Recovery Successful
