Katz's Delicatessen is one of the most famous restaurants in New York City, if not the world. They are known for many great eats, such as the Katz's Deli corned beef and the Katz's Deli matzo ball soup. However, the famous Katz's Deli pastrami on rye reigns supreme in my mind. Among the best sandwiches in the USA and the best sandwiches in the world, it's hard to find a better sandwich than Katz's Deli's hot pastrami. What if I told you though that the best pastrami is said by some though to not be Katz's, or even in New York? For many foodies, critics, and Californians, the title of best pastrami in the USA goes to Langer's Deli in Los Angeles.
Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant is the only other contender for potentially the best pastrami in the world, and boy is it good. This Jewish deli, though one not serving kosher food, is located in a less touristy location compared to Katz's Deli, but make no mistake about it. Langer's is every bit as good as any pastrami or Jewish deli you've ever been to? The only question is, is it better than Katz's? Watch my video and see who wins this East Coast vs West Coast battle for the best Jewish Deli in America. The answer may surprise you!
