What do you think? Is Thai-Chinese food possibly the best mix of food heritage the world has (yet) to see? In my mind, it would be nearly impossible for a single menu to hold MORE possible combinations of awesomeness. Welcome to Tae Hieng Ew, in the old town streets of Songkhla (South Thailand).
The food you see in this video is truly comfort food in the locales of Southern Thailand, I did not choose this menu actually (so kudos to our friend Chris for doing a great job!). I love the mixtures possible when you have the Chinese cooking love of fresh ingredients (usually fried, or made into soups) with the Thailand love for spice (usually as a curry).
Everything with white rice, big smiles all around - thank you from both Li and I - see you for the next adventure very soon (Taiwan 😉).
