The Toyota Alphard is the lap of luxury when it comes to vans. It is a rolling hotel, with powered captain seats and a ton of space for 6 lucky passengers. The 2021 Toyota Alphard receives some updates, including Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In this Filipino car review, we take a tour of the 2020 Toyota Alphard, then we drive it around the Toyota Valenzuela complex. Then we experience the Alphard's luxurious back seat to get a feel of the life of a godfather.
The Toyota Alphard 3.5L V6 is powered by a smooth V6 engine, the same one found in the Toyota Camry. The new Lexus LM van is also based off the Toyota Alphard, similar to the Toyota Vellfire. Unlike the Toyota Rav4 or the toyota fortuner, the Alphard needs a driver to experience the full benefits of a luxury van. The Toyota Hiace Super Grandia Elite also has this same requirement. While it is easy to drive the Alphard, it is a car that is meant to be experienced from the back seat. Not even the Honda Odyssey or the Maxus G50 can give this level of luxury feel in a car that has Toyota's reliability.
