In this video I'll be trying out a different paper with pastels. For this I'm drawing a kitten and sharing my thoughts on how the Clairefontaine PaintON mix media paper compares to Pastelmat. I'm often asked whether there is a paper artists who are new to pastels can try to get a feel for the medium but still achieve a nice level of photo realism... Maybe this could be the one? Hopefully this video helps to answer this question =).
