University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources researcher Dr. Vijay Tiwari discusses his project about finding an ideal triticale crop for the Mid-Atlantic region. Triticale is a man-made cross between wheat and rye. This project's goal is to develop a resilient cereal crop that requires low input and can fulfill the needs of grain, forage, feed and cover crops. This project is funded in part by the Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology.
