Isaac Albéniz (186-1909) was a Spanish pianist, composer and conductor. He composed a lot of music for piano, mostly with an evocative vein, permeated with imagery from his Spanish town and landscape.
Asturias, named simply Prelude by its composer, was originally written for the piano; with Andrés Segovia's transcription, this piece has become one of the most important works of the classical guitar repertoire.
