Everything I found today was from the 1700's and it was easy I had no problem finding these things today with my metal detector. Out at the old long ago abandoned colonial farm metal detecting relic hunting I had a great day. This old deserted homesite has to had anyone living here in hundreds of years and you can tell by the stuff I was digging up out of the ground because it was all from the 1700s. People settled these hills back in the colonial days and left behind miles of rock walls and cellar holes. I was using my Fisher F19 and worked the side hill off from where the house would have been centuries ago. Old pewter buttons, buckles and coins.....old coins like 1700s coins. King George III 1771 and King George III were in the dirt several inches but I found them. reading the landscape history you can see where they worked the land and that's where the stuff is. this is life after people in new England.I also came across and found some massive stacked rocks in this one wall that are beyond belief HUGE !
