It Doesn't Matter What Motorcycle Oil You Use and 5 MORE ADV Hot Takes

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

My last ADV Hot Takes video was shockingly popular and even more shockingly well-received, so why not dial up another and see who I can get to disagree with me this time?

Big thanks to @cyclopsadventuresports2256 for sponsoring this video! Head over to https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/?AffId=15 (affiliate link) to see all their motorcycle illumination options and use promo code "dorkintheroad" to save 10%

These are six more ADV hot takes and I've really taken the gloves off this time, going so far as to suggest that every adventure and dual sport motorcycle rider needs training regardless of their skill and experience level. Not enough? I'm also gonna just throw it out there that if you want to learn to ride an ADV bike, you should not buy an ADV motorcycle. You should be buying a dual sport or even a dirt bike to start with and learn off road motorcycle riding skills.

Not controversial enough? How about this: ADV motorcycle marketing is dumb and is targeting the wrong people. 90% of adventure motorcycle riders are middle aged men...so why is every promotional video for a new bike filled with jumps, powerslides, and wheelies?

I also happen to think motorcycle camping is whatever you want it to be and there's no wrong way to go motocamping. In fact, camping is in no way a required part of adventure riding. You can ride an entire BDR while staying in motels and it still "counts."

Beginner off road motorcycle riders should be wary of advice and instruction from so called "expert riders" AND perhaps most shockingly...it doesn't matter what motorcycle oil you use. There is no best motorcycle oil. Just use what makes sense for you.
