Every winter for several years now we've been metal detecting this really speical location that we call The Field of 1,000 Holes. If you look back through my library of videos there has to be over 25 episodes from just this one place. Over the years there's been hundreds of tokens found here, tons of silver coins, silver spoons, buttons, buckles, political memorabilia, kids toys, pins, rings, bracelets, religious charms, and so many more items going back 100 years or so that we truly have dug well over 1,000 holes here! Besides the finds alone, this place also has extremely sandy soil which doesn't seem to freeze as quickly as all the surrounding fields, and after each planting season the farmer also does a deep plow to turn the soil over which in turn also brings more items up from the depth making it somewhat new again. It's always a fun treat to return each year and see what the field might give up next, so let's fire up the machines in 2025 and give it a go, at Our Field of 1,000 Holes!
