A determined teenage girl has taken it upon herself to manage both the business and social affairs of her father, a dedicated doctor. She believes he should marry a kindhearted widow, the mother of her close friend. The doctor has been a mentor and father figure to the boy, who, under his guidance, has learned to care for all the sick animals in their town. However, financial struggles prevent the widow from supporting her son’s education, making it impossible for him to complete high school, let alone pursue medical training.
