The Jaecoo Omoda C9 AWD does feel premium. The interior looks like it was facelifted off of a German brand. And it feels premium too. It is feature packed with features usually found in cars costing at least RM100k more. But there are obvious oversights like missing a rear seat folding button at the boot. The gap between the sunshade and roof which was letting in sunlight, was also obvious. Plus points are that it has an actual spare with matching tyres and rims. The 2 litre turbo is adequate but suffers a bit from turbo lag. It does lean in a little on faster bends but nothing serious. The continuous damping control (CDC) does a pretty good job at providing occupants a comfortable and assured ride. Size wise, the Omoda C9 is a D segment SUV which means it is huge. It measures 4,775 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,671 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. It has a luggage capacity of 660 litres with its rear seats up With the rear seats folded, you get 1,783 litres. It's about the size of a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, the Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Toyota Harrier. Overall, the Jaecoo Omoda C9 AWD is a pretty good buy for the RM188,800. The 2WD version coming in May will be priced at RM168,800 OTR without insurance. Early bird promo - if you book by 8 December, 2024, you get a 10-year, one-million km warranty on engine and suspension components, in addition to the standard seven-year, 150,000 km vehicle warranty.
