JANE AUSTEN ROAD TRIP 2: PRIDE & PREJUDICE SPECIAL (PART 1)// Happy Tuesday, It's finally here: We went on another Jane Austen road trip and today we're bringing you part 1 of our Pride & Prejudice Special!
We started at Burghley House in Stamford where parts of the Pride & Prejudice 2005 adaption were filmed. Burghley House was used as Rosings, the elegant house of Lady Catherine de Bourgh portrayed by no other than Judi Dench. Burghley House is an Elizabethan stately home and absolutely outstanding. A couple of rooms were used for the film and the most striking feature of the house are the HUGE wall paintings. You could spend hours and hours there just to look at them.
Towards the end of this shorter video, we will go to Teigh Old Rectory which was particularly exciting so stay tuned for part 2 this Friday as we will share a lot more. Teigh Old Rectory was used as Hunsford Parsonage in the Pride & Prejudice 1995 adaption with Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle. Our favourite adaption out there! We will share exciting things of the house itself and are sure you will love it. The second part will be longer so we hope you will join us on Friday! Lots of love, Kirsten & Joerg xx
