From "Round the World with Janos Starker, Vol. 2: Music of France" recorded in the early 1950s when Starker was Principal Cellist of the Metropolitan Opera. The pianist is Leon Pommers. The hum on the recording is actually on the LP record. Contents: Breval Sonata in G, Poulence Serenade (arr. M. Gendron), Francoeur Sonata in E and Couperin Pastorale. Posted with profound love and appreciation for Starker's expressive and immaculate music making.
