Welcome back to the channel! In today’s video, we’re revisiting an incredible 55-year-old Japanese Black Pine bonsai that we began restyling a few months ago. This tree has a rich history and has made fantastic progress since we last worked on it.
We’ll be heading outside on a beautiful spring morning to check on its development, remove the training wire, and talk through what’s next in its journey. I’ll be sharing some useful tips on identifying when to remove wire, how to avoid scarring, and the careful process of pruning and guiding new growth on a mature Black Pine.
If you’ve been following this tree’s transformation, or if you're interested in working with pines yourself, this is a great opportunity to see the next steps in refining structure and maintaining long-term health. So, grab a cup of tea, and let’s get started!
