I can't believe this is my first time showing you this part of Japan because I've been here probably about 8 times in just the past 3 years alone. 100% my favourite area accessible from Osaka - even with just public transport!

Speaking of public transport, I lied! You CAN get to Dorokyo Gorge with a bus! It leaves from Totsukawa Village Office to Dorokyo Bus Stop (called Dorohaccho) with a bunch of other stops along the way. There are however, only 2 buses a day (12:08 & 16:03) going to Dorohaccho and 3 buses a day leaving from there (07:01, 13:14 & 14:25) so plan your route carefully. The bus takes 1 hour & 6 mins and costs 1,090yen.
