Although I wasn't possessed by an dog god, I visited Kenmi Shrine, which is known as the number one shrine in Japan that removes dog god possessions. It enshrines the guardian deity of mental illness, awareness, good harvest, and safety at sea, and is said to be beneficial for healing from illness and for the safety of one's family.The deities enshrined here are Susaki no Mikoto and Shinada Wake no Mikoto. Kumano Shrine, which I visited on the way back, was also very clean and peaceful.
犬神が憑いたわけでは無いのですが、犬神憑きを落とす日本随一の神社として知られてる賢見神社を参拝しました。精神病、ものの気つき・五穀豊穣・海上安全の守り神を祀り、病気平癒や家内安全にも御利益があるとされています。御祭神は素戔嗚尊さまと品陀和気命さま。帰り道で参拝した熊野神社も大変清らかで安らぎました。
