Eminent film director and cinematographer Raj Gopal Mishra, popularly known as Raju Mishra
Raju Misra was born in 1948 in India. He was a cinematographer and writer, known for Sagar Ganga (1994), Pathara Khasuchi Bada Deulu (1993) and Jor Jar Mulak Tar (1986). He was married to Pratima Manjari Mishra. He died on November 2, 2020 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
An Odia film director, actor, screen writer, cinematographer and music director. He was a gold medalist in cinematography from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. In 1986 he directed his first Odia film Jor Jar Mulak Tar and he directed a total of 12 Odia films. He also directed seven Assamese language films.
Mishra debuted in the Odia film industry as an actor through Ulka in 1981. Later he did the cinematography, wrote the screenplay, worked as an editor, and composed music for some Odia films.
Some successful movies like 'Chaka Akhi Sabu Dekhuchi', 'Asuchi Mo Kalia Suna', 'Pua Mora Kala Thakura', 'Hari Bhai Harena' and 'Jibana Mrutyu' are directed by Raju Mishra

Acclaimed cinematographer, director and composer Raju Mishra was presented the FitFat Bioscope Award 2012 at a glittering ceremony here on Sunday. The award, comprising a silver filigree replica of a bioscope and Rs 25,000 cash was given to him by actor of yesteryear, who featured in Mishra’s first film Ulka, Gloria Mohanty.

ରାଜୁ ୧୯୪୯ ମସିହା ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ମାସ ୨୬ ତାରିଖରେ ଜଟଣୀର ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ନଗରର ଏକ ସଙ୍ଗୀତମୟ ପରିବାରରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ପିତା ବିମଳ ମିଶ୍ର ଜଣେ ତବଲା ବାଦକ ଓ ମାତା ସୁମତୀ ଦେବୀ ଜଣେ କଣ୍ଠଶିଳ୍ପୀ ଥିଲେ । ଉଭୟ ଆକାଶବାଣୀ କଟକର ସ୍ୱୀକୃତିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କଳାକାର ଥିଲେ । ରାଜୁ କିନ୍ତୁ ବିଧିବଦ୍ଧ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ଶିକ୍ଷା କରି ନଥିଲେ । ନିଜ ଉଦ୍ୟମରେ ହାରମୋନିୟମ ଆଦି ବଜେଇବା ଶିଖିଥିଲେ । ଜଟଣୀ ହାଇସ୍କୁଲ ଓ ନିରାକାରପୁର କଲେଜରୁ ସେ ଶିକ୍ଷାଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ପିଲାଦିନୁ ଫଟୋଗ୍ରାଫୀର ସଉକ ଯୋଗୁ, ସିନେମାଟୋଗ୍ରାଫିରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଭାରତୀୟ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଏବଂ ଟେଲିଭିଜନ ସଂସ୍ଥା, ପୁନେରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସେ ପ୍ରତିମା ମଞ୍ଜରୀଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ । ମୋହିତ ଓ ପୁନିତ ନାମରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଦୁଇ ପୁଅ ଅଛନ୍ତି ।
ସର୍ବସାକ୍ଷୀ ନାମକ ଏକ ମରାଠୀ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ରରେ ସେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସିନେମାଟୋଗ୍ରାଫି କରିଥିଲେ । ଏହି ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଜାତୀୟ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ପୁରସ୍କାର ଲାଭ କରିଥିଲା । ୧୯୭୮ ମସିହାରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କଥାଚିତ୍ର ଜଗତରେ କାମ କରିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କ ଅଭିନୀତ ପ୍ରଥମ କଥାଚିତ୍ର ଥିଲା କବି ସମ୍ରାଟ ଉପେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଭଞ୍ଜ । ଏହାପରେ ୧୯୮୧ ମସିହାରେ ସେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଉଲ୍କାରେ ସେ ଅଭିନୟ କରିବା ସହ ଚିତ୍ରୋତ୍ତଳକ ଓ ସଙ୍ଗୀତକାର ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଥିଲେ । ସେ ୨୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ, ହିନ୍ଦୀ, ଆସାମୀ, ମରାଠୀ ଓ ବଙ୍ଗଳା କଥାଚିତ୍ରରେ ସିନେମାଟୋଗ୍ରାଫର ବା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଥିଲେ । ୧୯୮୬ ମସିହାର ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଯୋର ଯା'ର ମୂଲକ ତାର ତାଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶିତ ପ୍ରଥମ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଥିଲା । ତାଙ୍କର ଶେଷ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଥିଲା କୋଟିଏରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ମନ ।
