In this video, I explain the importance of a Continuous Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) system and how it works on the AMC 4.0L (and 2.5L). I replaced the grommets and elbows in the valve cover as seen on the 1996 - 2001 Jeep Cherokee. It's not a PCV system, but it doesn't really matter what you call it.

Rear CCV hose (Valve Cover to Intake Manifold): [Unknown]
You'll have to either find a used one from a donor 4.0L, or make your own with universal oil rated hose. Note this rear hoses is different from 1996 - 1998/ 1999 - 2001 because of the different intake manifold.
After replacing the CCV stuff and valve cover gasket, I deleted the racing cone filter and performed an oil change, using Rotella T6 5W-40 Diesel Oil. https://www.amazon.com/Shell-Rotella-Synthetic-Diesel-1-Gallon/dp/B01LH7L0KS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1R3GMPC208D1I&keywords=rotella%2Bt6%2B5w-40%2Bsynthetic&qid=1706476058&sprefix=rotella%2B%2Caps%2C108&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1
Also, DO NOT buy THIS set of fittings: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NSNPSGK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
do NOT buy them, they are backwards - the metered hole is on the front and the open tube is on the back one. They're inverted. They will still work, but not as intended from the factory.
