"Jewel of Shonan" is a winter illumination event held at "Enoshima island". It runs from late November to the end of February. It is one of the three major illumination events in the Kanto region. "Enoshima" is one of Japan's leading religious wonderlands. Going around the wonderland, the illuminations decorate various places from the seaside cave "Iwaya" as the birthplace of Enoshima faith, to the "Samuel Cocking Garden" at the top, which derives from a garden built in 1882, and Enoshima Shrine, the center of faith. "Samuel Cocking Garden" features a gorgeous "Shonan Chandelier" made of Swarovski crystal beads, "Jewel of Shonan Entrance" like wandering among the stars, and "Sea Candle (observation lighthouse)" at the top of the 60 m above sea level. From "Sea Candle", you can get a panoramic night view of Shonan.
