On this week's video, Jim Cheek from sax.co.uk tries to tempt me to the dark side and abandon my trusty vintage Selmer Mark 6 tenor in favour of a top of the range modern sax. I back-to-back my usual Mark VI with the Selmer Paris Reference 36, the Yamaha Custom YTS-82Z, the Signature Custom Raw XS and the Yanagisawa TWO20. It's a vintage versus modern shootout and you might be surprised what happens!
Incidentally, i forgot to say on the video - my reed was a synthetic D’Addario Venn 2.5 and my mouthpiece Is a vinage Otto Link 8.
