When drag racing was at it's peak in popularity in Australia, it got a lot of mainstream media attention. During Channel 9's time of covering events on Wide World of Sports, 60 Minutes also did some segments with Australian drag racing's big names. This story, titled 'Beauty and the Beast', featured the rising star and 'Queen of Speed', Rachelle Splatt, and veteran racer, Jim Read.
