JLS were a four-member British male pop/R&B vocal group consisting of members Marvin Humes, Ortisé Williams, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold. They auditioned for Series 5 of The X Factor UK and made it all the way to the final as part of the Groups category mentored by Louis Walsh. Thety made It all the way to the final to eventually finish 2nd Place in favour of Alexandra Burke.
