Video Not Working? Fix It Now

here's the old time tune josie girl / aka josie o on clawhammer with a short lesson at the end. Pretty please check out my new solo old time banjo album: https://josephdecosimo.bandcamp.com/album/the-aluminum-wonder17 tracks of old time banjo, clawhammer, 2 finger, gourd banjos, banjo songs, resonator banjos, openback banjos, and super rare banjo repertoire! I'm proud of it. Anyway, I used to the play this one with Charlie Acuff. He learned it from his grandfather. Art Stamper learned it from Charlie and called it Josie O. Charlie called it the Josie Girl and would sing "where's that girl, where's she gone, where's that girl with the josie on." A Josie was a cloak of some sort. gDGBD tuning for this one. I kept the tutorial piece simple, but there's plenty more you can do. On that note, I'm starting up a monthly, sliding scale streaming old-time banjo workshop. It'll be archived and available after for folks who can't tune in in real time. DM or contact me through my website if you're interested. https://www.josephdecosimo.com/ bye for now. PS: l also recorded a fiddle, guitar, banjo version on this album. Luke Richardson's playing on it is really great: https://josephdecosimo.bandcamp.com/album/sequatchie-valley
