Well I made a bad call.I should not have used a restrictor in this setup.
I have in the past used a .06” restrictor and I did not have any issues(though I did have poor turbo rain due to the limited space the WS6 had between the radiator and the engine.)
Through my search I have found that the restrictor is nothing more than a bandaid for a poor performing turbo oil drain(for a journal-unless your having really high oil pressure). It could alleviate some oil backing up but then you're not really addressing the issue. BB does require it.
At the end of the day, one way to verify if you need it is to check the actual pressure that you’re getting AT THE TURBO. NOT at the block.
In my case, I have a feed that goes into FOUR 4an with 2 oil feed inline filters so it dropped the oil pressure significantly. Not Ideal but the only other way I could get more pressure is to use an external oiling setup. Or maybe high pressure oil pump?
