Hi there!! We are a Japanese couple based in Shanghai, China. Hope you like our video.
I went to Jiuzhaigou, located in the interior of China's Sichuan province! Generally speaking, the tourist season in Jiuzhaigou is from May to October, the best time to see alpine plants is from May to August, and the best time to see autumn leaves is October.
There isn't much information about Jiuzhaigou in winter, so I hope this video will be helpful for those who are going there in the future.
In conclusion, Jiuzhaigou in winter was the best! ! !
Above all, “few tourists” is an important point when traveling to China. If you look into Jiuzhaigou during the best season, you will be surprised at how many people there are. There are long lines for buses inside the scenic area, making it difficult to sightsee freely. On this point, on this trip, I was able to ride the bus as much as I wanted and hike at whatever pace I wanted!
You don't have to worry about people being reflected when taking photos.
I think the reason I was able to visit so many spots in one day was because it was empty.
Another key point is that the trees, which have no presence in the good sense of winter, make the blue color stand out.
Because the leaves are not colored, you can concentrate on the blue of the lake and the blue of the sky.
When I compared the photos I took in winter with those taken during the autumn leaves season, I noticed that the colors were bluer in winter.
(Of course, the fall foliage season has its benefits, but I've never been there so I don't really know.)
Personally, I felt that the view might be more spectacular in winter in terms of blueness!
As a major premise, as I mentioned in the video,
I think the most important point is whether the weather is sunny or not, rather than the season.
As a major premise, as I mentioned in the video,
I think the most important point is whether the weather is sunny or not, rather than the season.
When the sun is shining, the water surface shines and you can clearly see the bottom of the lake, making it more beautiful.
The weather is a difficult issue, but let's rely on God.
This time, we narrowed down the scenic spots (only famous ones) that we wanted to visit!
There are actually twice as many spots.
I think it takes two days to see all the small spots from top to bottom.
If you only visit the main spots, you can do it in one day like we did.

Of course, things didn't turn out exactly as I expected, but I was able to go about it exactly as I had planned.
The bus that you board from the entrance first thing in the morning will take you to an unknown destination, perhaps to alleviate congestion.
Maybe the destination was displayed on the bus.
I couldn't wait for the next bus, so I was pushed in in the order I entered, so I was lucky...
It is possible to travel around efficiently by making good use of the bus, but there are many beautiful and nameless scenery along the hiking route, so we recommend walking as long as your physical strength allows.
I didn't see any strollers while sightseeing...I think it's difficult unless your child is old enough to walk on their own.
Regarding tickets,
I bought it from Wechat the day before. You will enter your passport information, so your passport will be used as a ticket on the day.
During peak periods such as Chinese holidays, admission may be limited, so early purchase is recommended.
About the hotel
For foreign-affiliated hotels near Jiuzhaigou, we recommend Holiday Inn Express Jiuzhaigou, where we stayed this time, in terms of location and cost performance. Breakfast was a simple buffet with lots of Chinese food. There are many restaurants near the hotel, including McDonald's, KFC, and Chinese restaurants, so you won't have any problems finding food.
