Today I'm going to show you how to paint an idyllic summer afternoon in the countryside - the sort of landscape you can lose yourself in, imagining yourself brushing your hands over the bright red poppy heads as you walk through the fields towards the tree, where you perhaps rest a while in the shade and lean your back against its trunk. This loose watercolor landscape of a poppy field is perfect for beginners and improvers, and I have a composition trick for you along the way. So let's grab our paints and head for the countryside!
