Hi Folks,
I was asked by one of my viewers if I would be able to refresh an old JVC Radio Cassette Recorder that belonged to his late father. Whilst this would not normally be something I do on the channel, there was considerable sentiment attached to this unit - so I agreed to take a look.
There's a fair bit of chat/introduction in this one, but I wanted to share the story as part of the video, and also it made a nice souvenir for my viewer, as well as a thorough look inside for other owners. If this isn't for you, please skim as you wish.
I open up and tear down the unit in this video, along with cleaning up the casing. The cassette mechanism gets a service & new belts. The rusty battery terminals are cleaned and the aerial is replaced - and more!
Please share the channel and let's try to grow it by subscribing and liking the video - it doesn't cost anything, but it would really help to support and grow the channel awareness in the vintage audio community.
Thanks so much for watching - see you soon!
If you enjoyed the video and would like to help support the channel with repairs, materials and continual improvement, please consider making a 1-off donation via the link below (no subscription or strings attached!) - thanks so much!
