Having modelled American railroads since I was 12 years old, the name "Kadee" has always meant great US quality and a must have for "serious" modellers!. Back then , a pair of Kadee's in Australia, was nearly the same price as the freight cars itself!!,but for a young bloke ,it was a big deal to have "Kadee's"on all your rolling stock!. Nowday's, they're much the same price and essential for smooth running of your railroad, but with many cars now having "knuckle" couplers fitted as standard,i't s easy to delay replacing those plastic couplers with Kadee's!. I'm guilty of that myself, but a recent incident on the Birdwood Sub', gave me a overdue reminder!
Cheers Gregg.
