【5日目】
この日は山口県の日本海側
島や岬を巡る予定です。
山口県の北西にある島
関門海峡を抜けたところにあります。
.佰島大桥(下関市)
新しい橋ですが見ごたえがあります。
.角島灯台
島の奥にある灯台。
関門海峡に入る船などに目印になっている?
なかなかの景色です。
灯台の上はかなり風が強かったです。
が、海や島々がきれいでした。
こちらの海は日本海、一昨日まで見ていた
静かな瀬戸内海とは雰囲気が違って
波も大きい。
.夢前明神
浜辺沿いにある、祠。
石垣で囲まれており
独特の雰囲気でした。
(木は生えていない)
.角島砲台跡
・牧崎風の公園
橋の近くまで戻ったところの岬。
名前の通り風が強い。
先ほど上がった灯台が
良く見えました。
→角島を後にして長門市に引き返し岬を巡ります。
・俵島
途中から幅の狭い道を行きます。
残念ながら島まで渡れませんでした。
途中で島が見えるところがり
なかなかの景色でした。
・元乃隅神社
長門市では、一番ポスターなどで見るところ。
稲荷神社で鳥居がたくさんある海岸沿いの神社。
本殿はあまり大きくはありませんでした。
観光客は多かったです。(日曜日)
・東後畑棚田
山側に溜池
海側に棚田
雰囲気のある場所でした。
.千畳敷
千畳敷と言えば、海にある大きな岩
というイメージなのですが
ここは海岸が眼下に見える丘でした。
.青海島観光汽船
日本海沿いを東に20分、島を一周する遊覧船があります。
道の駅に駐車。
風と波が強く、「本日は赤瀬コース」となっていました。
内海を行って帰ってくる、
冬場はこうなることが多い、という話でした。
港の方では波は高くなく、大丈夫に思えましたが・・
段々と波が高く、船がゆれます。
前の方にいたのですが落ちる感じがして

奇岩や色のついた岩など
魅力的です。
この先が外海になります。
ここでも波が高いです。
引き上げ。
これは確かに危ない。
もっと大きな船ならいいでしょうけどね。
30人乗りくらいの小さな船でした。
しかし、島の北側は見所が多いみたい。
周コースを巡ってみたいと思わされます。

・波の橋立
青海島をクルマで入っていきます。
橋でつながっています。
内海があって、挟まれている狭い陸地が
波橋立」となずけられています。
2kmほど・・
京都の天橋立に雰囲気が似ている。

少し歩きました。
これは山の上から見るとなかなかの景色でしょうが、
残念ながら見られる場所は無さそうでした。
少し、遠くから見ると雰囲気を味わえました。
→島の反対側に20分ほど走ります。
漁港沿いの道を抜けて崎までいきます。
・日露兵士の墓碑
道路から少し歩く必要があり、
駐車場が近くなかったので断念。
・くじら資料館
もう閉館時間になっています。
館の前にくじらのモニュメントがあります。
→青海島から萩に向かいます。
西に30分
萩城跡
駐車場からは山が見えるだけでしたが、
少し歩いたところに
掘りと石垣があり
城の雰囲気になります。
後ろの山は城になる?
ここは海に面しています。
毛利輝元が関ヶ原に敗れて
広島からこちらに移ったとのこと
輝元の像がありました。
本丸跡の石垣はライトアップされています。
.萩市内(宿)
城下町、道路が狭くて怖かったが
何とか着きました。
【感想】
日本海沿いの
島や岬を満喫した一日になりました。
元の隅神社は稲荷神社、鳥居がたくさんで
海沿いにあるのは青森県の津軽半島
高山稲荷神社に雰囲気が似ている。
あちらの方が、立派な神社という部分はあります。
瀬戸内海と違って波が荒いと海の雰囲気が増しますね。
やや寒かったです。
Day 5
On this day, we will visit the Sea of Japan side of Yamaguchi Prefecture
We plan to visit islands and capes.
An island in the northwest of Yamaguchi Prefecture
It is located through the Kanmon Straits.
. Baijima Bridge (Shimonoseki City)
It is a new bridge, but it is worth seeing.
. Kakunoshima Lighthouse
A lighthouse located at the end of the island.
It is a landmark for boats entering the Kanmon Straits.
It is quite a view.
It was quite windy on top of the lighthouse.
But the sea and islands were beautiful.
The sea here is the Sea of Japan.
The atmosphere was different from the quiet Seto Inland Sea
The waves are also big.

A shrine along the beach.

It had a unique atmosphere.

A cape back near the bridge.
As the name suggests, it is windy.
The lighthouse we had just climbed up.

→We left Kakunoshima and headed back to Nagato City to visit the cape.
Tawara Island
On the way to Tawara Island, we took a narrow road.
Unfortunately, we could not cross to the island.
On the way to the island, we came across a place where we could see the island.
It was quite a view.
Motonosumi Shrine
This is the most popular shrine in Nagato City, as seen on posters and other media.
It is an Inari shrine with many torii gates along the coast.
The main shrine was not very big.
There were many tourists. (Sunday).

It was an atmospheric place.
. Senjyobashiki
Speaking of Senjyojiki, it is a big rock on the sea
but this was a hill where the coast could be seen below.

. Qinghai Island Sightseeing Steamship
There is a sightseeing boat that circles the island 20 minutes east along the Sea of Japan.
We parked at the roadside station.
Because of strong wind and waves, it was "Akase course today".
Going and coming back to the inland sea.
We were told that this often happens in winter.
The waves were not so high at the harbor, and it seemed to be all right.
The waves were getting higher and higher, and the boat was shaking.
I was in the front, but I felt like I was falling.

Beyond this point is the open sea.

A bigger boat would be fine, though.

Hashidate of the waves
You will enter Qinghai Island by car.
It is connected by a bridge.
There is an inland sea, and the narrow land between them is

The atmosphere is similar to that of Amanohashidate in Kyoto.
