This is the second episode of MUBI presents Beyond Bollywood. Our guest is Karthik Subbaraj, who is a filmmaker, who started his career working as a software engineer in Bangalore for Infosys. During this period he got interested in film making and learnt the basics during a one-day workshop run by Sanjay Nambiar. He made a short film "Kaatchipizhai" in Madurai, which was selected for "Naalaya Iyakunar". He is known for his debut movie, Pizza (2012) and the critically acclaimed movie Jigarthanda (2014).
