We have been breeding Buff Orpington chickens using broody hens for a number of years as well as keeping some other breeds as egg layers.
Like most people we started with commercially bought equipment for the chickens but as we've gained experience we've found ways to maintain quality and reduce costs. In this video I'll show you some of the things we have done to keep costs down and hopefully inspire you to find similar opportunities.
