The idea that adults cannot comment on or criticize media aimed at children is patently ridiculous. Adults, especially parents, have a responsibility to be discerning about the content their children are consuming. And the creators of said content need to be held accountable for actually making GOOD STORIES.
Kids WILL watch literally anything. It's our job as adults to not LET THEM. They are kids, they don't know any better. We do. Or we should. Don't let them watch slop just because they want to. Give them better stories to watch, read, and play. Stop insulting them by letting them rot their brains with whatever low-effort garbage Hollywood craps out because they don't care enough to actually write good stories aimed at kids.
“Since it is so likely that (children) will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise you are making their destiny not brighter but darker.”
