Kimmie Meisser has earned almost every title their is in the sport: national champion, world champion, four continents champion and Olympian. Along the way, she earned acclaim by landing triple axels and consistent triple-triple combinations in competition. In part one of our interview with the 2006 World Figure Skating Champion, we talk to Kimmie about her rise in the sport, how she trained to be consistent and what it took to pull off one of the biggest surprise victories in recent memory. We break down the triple axel technique of many of the top skaters, including Mirai Nagasu, Rika Kihira and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva.
