This video shows trains arriving and departing one after another at Yamato-Saidaiji Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line, Kyoto Line, and Kashihara Line during the weekday evening rush hour (from around 4:30pm to 6:30pm). The video also shows Kintetsu Limited Express trains departing from and arriving at Kyoto, Nara, Kashiharajingu-mae, and Ise, the tourist express "Aonoyoshi" that connects Kyoto with Nara and Osaka, the "Shimakaze" that connects with Ise, and Kintetsu Railway trains including rapid express, express, semi-express, and local (stopping at every station). It also shows Hanshin Railway trains that share tracks with the Hanshin Namba Line and Main Line (Amagasaki, Kobe-Sannomiya), and Kyoto Municipal Subway trains that share tracks with the Karasuma Subway Line.
The video shows the "Aonoyoshi" departing from Kyoto and bound for Osaka Namba via Nara departing after arriving from Kyoto, turning around at Nara and returning to Yamato-Saidaiji, and stopping at the platform for a moment. Trains heading for Osaka-Namba are treated as passing trains, so they only stop at the platform once and the doors do not open.
Kintetsu Limited Express trains such as the "Hinotori" and "Ise-Shima Liner" (yellow and red) also run on this line.
There are three island platforms with five tracks, and as each line crosses at grade, many tracks are arranged in a complex manner and branch out in various directions.
Of the three platforms, platforms 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 5 and 6, platforms 4 and 5 share the same tracks, and doors on both sides open when the train stops there.
