This is a free pattern in Norwegian that I've knitted and felted. Here's how I did mine (second largest size) - Cast on 78 sts using 5.5mm needles and join in the round (using Judy's magic cast on) - Knit for 29 rounds of st st - Put half the stitches (39 sts) on hold - Cast on additional 6 sts at centre of work, placing st marker either side of these sts and continue to work on these 45 sts - Work 6 rounds st st - K2 tog each side of newly cast on sts (at st markers), knitting together one old st and one new st - K 5 rounds without shaping - K2 tog each side of newly cast on sts (at st markers), again knitting together one old st and one new st - K 24 rounds without shaping - Decrease 1 st in following row - Decrease for toe at four points as for a sock toe (K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts on that side of food, K2tog, K1) - K 1 round without shaping - Repeat last 2 rounds until 24 sts remain - K2tog 12 times (12 sts remain) - K1, K2tog 4 times (8 sts remain) - Pull yarn through remaining stitches - Pick up sts on hold, and pick up 6 sts at base where new sts were previously cast on - Work front foot as same for first - Felt away Key points 00:00 Introduction 06:54 Construction and layout 12:19 Splitting for the fore-feet 15:16 Felting chat 17:09 Shaping 18:48 Wrap up
