This canvas tent has become my favorite. It is the 10'x10' size/style. Faster set up, lighter than my old 10'x12' canvas wall tent.

ABOUT: 2023 Late October elk camp set in Washington State. Going on 7 years of heavy use, I added a new design option from the Kodiak Tent Company. It is the Weather Topper. Basically, a heavy canvas treated waterproof cover, acting as a 2nd roof over the top of the existing tent roof. Performs like an extra poly tarp would, shielding the main tent roof from inclement weather or prevent staining of the canvas from drippings of pine sap off the ponderosa pine and tamarack fir trees.
Setting it up the 1st time was a bit of a challenge but much easier now. Tips suggested on an easier set up with the new Weather Topper.

MORE ABOUT: I strongly recommend this optional Weather Roof Topper to any camper setting up this tent expecting foul weather conditions. In cold weather, such as snowbound, the topper also acts as a 2nd insulation layer. The propane heated tent holds in heat better, longer with the topper installed.
In heavy rain, especially snow accumulation, it is a must to also install a polyethylene tarp as well. The rain, snow easily rolls, slides off the poly tarp, removing weight of snow/ice and helping to keep the outer canvas walls much drier.
