At first glance, the KTM 790 Adventure and Honda Transalp 750 seem to have a lot in common. Both are around 10,000 dollars US, both fit solidly into the mid-size ADV bike category, and both have a full suite of electronics managed by a TFT display. But, when you really dig into comparing KTM 790 Adventure vs Honda Transalp 750, you find there are some stark differences that make each of these bikes more suitable for a specific type of adventure rider. Check out Quad Lock's motorcycle phone mount options for the KTM 790 Adventure, Honda Transalp 750, or any other motorcycle you might ride: https://bit.ly/3Mt2O6F If all things were equal and reliability was not a concern, I’d say it would be hard to take the Honda Transalp 750 over the KTM 790 Adventure just because while the Honda is SLIGHTLY better on the road the KTM is no slouch there and is better when you leave the pavement. BUT we’re talking KTM vs Honda here…and there is a massive difference in build quality and reliability. Only you can decide if the extra performance of the KTM is worth the slightly elevated cost and greatly elevated anxiety. For what it’s worth, I love riding both bikes and can wholeheartedly recommend each of them…just be aware of the unique disadvantages of both before you buy. If it helps…I’m taking the KTM 790 adventure on the NorCal BDR in a few weeks, and I have a 12 hour ride to the beginning. Take from that what you will. My advice is always test ride both and see which speaks to you. Good luck with your bike purchase!
