As promised, here is the video showing the rebuild of the 2019 KTM 300 XC-W TPI bike after 124 hard hours. I took the bike to Kevin at MotoXperts in Spanish Fork UT so that he could give his opinion on whether or not there were any problems and if he could tell any difference between this motor and the other motors they see on a regular basis that are carbureted 2 stroke pre-mix bikes.
He said that this piston and cylinder looked just like all the other motors they see in his shop. No extra wear or scaring on this baby. We took that oil pump all the way up to 124 hours. While doing the top end on this bike, we did install a new oil pump for good measure. That is probably a good idea to replace when doing a top end on your TPI bike.
So now this bike is ready for at least another 100 hours that will be put on by the new owner of the bike when the sweepstakes ends here in just a few days.
