Kumar unfolds Kalyan with the help of a self-composed bandish 'Yaar Vena'. The drut 'Kinare Kinare Dariya Kishti' is a paramparik one.
As Kumar said, a raga appears differently by changing the perspective of seeing it. Different dimensions are revealed on observing it from front, rear, top or side.
By shifting the vadi - samvadi to say rishabh - pancham or by extending the scape of madhyam, the same Kalyan reveals its newer faces. Poorvanga and Uttaranga have their own beauty.
